I love photographing seniors and this session is just another reason why.
It was several months ago that I received a text from Alicia asking about senior photos. Time passed and once spring arrived she messaged me saying that they wanted to get a time set up. Naturally, we had to watch the weather and adjust since we do live in El Paso, TX. You just never know what Mother Nature has planned.
As the day got closer I asked for a photo of Meredith’s outfits and as soon as I saw the first one I became very excited and had visions running through my head. I knew exactly where I wanted to go and hoped that they were game. They were!
I had only met Meredith once and seen her a couple of times but knowing her mom I went in to this session with high hopes for some gorgeous images of a beautiful girl. She did not disappoint and after two locations we were done and I couldn’t wait to get to work on my computer.
We went to my favorite location that offers so many different scenarios and fit her first two outfits perfectly. Heinrich Park/Hitt Canyon Trail was our first stop and turned out even better than I expected. We started off with a few posed shots to get her comfortable since selfies are nothing like having some crazy lady giving you directions with a camera in your space.
I absolutely love the hat and her smile.

I could tell she was comfortable with the camera and my weird ways so it was time to move on and get some more amazing shots.

It’s always fun when I say, “Now you’re going to walk towards me and do a turn then keep walking. When I say stop, don’t pose. Please don’t fall, either.” Once I did my own, not so modelesque (is that even a word?), walk as an example she blew me away.
Since it is El Paso, the desert, and we have had NO rain, flowers are hard to come by. I found a small patch, just one, and took full advantage.
I had to get more close ups of her and you are about to see just why. Well, if you follow my Facebook page you saw this image and actually already know why.
We decided after all of this amazingness that it was time to change outfits and make more magic and Texas requires boots.
I was thrilled that her outfit was perfect for one of my favorite spots. It all came together without even trying. That is magic.

You can’t live in the desert and not get a photo with cacti. We just had to make sure to keep a safe distance.
I did my usual, it’s time to go now… Oh, wait, let’s get some here. You’ll understand why when you see the next few images. My favorite is located here.
Now we’re done at this location. Our next location was Meredith’s choice and we went downtown. It was my first time shooting there and it was full of opportunities.
This wall with her outfit was perfection.
As we were walking I notice a section with benches that were screaming at us to use them so we did and I already shared one on my Facebook page.
The next few images are all in the same vicinity just different directions.
We moved back towards the Convention Center area and I found some funky big things that looks like the perfect frame. They happened to be in a great location to get a shot from high up.

Meredith had recently been downtown and found a couple of spots that she liked so we headed that way for the next shots.
We made our way to the San Jacinto Plaza for some photos with a lot of greenery. It’s a gorgeous area that has just recently been re-opened.
I love when she laughs.
All we had left was the graffiti walls that she wanted photos in front of and now that the sun was down we could get that done on the way back to the car.
Thank you Alicia for thinking of me when it came time for Meredith’s senior photos. She is such a beautiful girl and was so easy to photograph. She doesn’t take a bad photo. I hope you love the images as much as I enjoyed taking them for you. I can’t wait to see what her future holds because I know that it will be amazing.
